Regarding the Recall of
oneX Louisville Slugger bats
1. Is this bat banned?
The bat was not banned. It is under a recall initiated by Louisville Slugger. Fastpitch softball governing bodies (the NCAA, NFHS, ASA, NSA, USSSA) are removing the oneX from their list of approved bats at the request of Louisville Slugger. Player safety is our priority.
2. Why are you recalling this bat?
We have identified a manufacturing defect in the handle of a percentage of oneX bats that can cause durability issues. Louisville Slugger regrets any inconvenience this may cause but, again, player safety is our priority.
3. What are my replacement options?
A. Receive a Xeno bat + one additional Louisville Slugger product valued at $80.00. You can choose between a fielding glove and an equipment bag.
B. Receive a Xeno bat + a $50.00 stored value gift card
C. Receive a Xeno bat now and a oneX 2014 bat when they are launched in July, 2013
4. Can you advance ship my replacement bat before receiving my oneX?
Yes. We will send your new XENO before we receive your oneX.
5. How long will it take to receive my replacement XENO?
This is subject to availability, but please know that we are working diligently to get all replacements out in a timely manner. We understand the importance of this to the players who use our products.
6. Will there be a new oneX bat introduced in 2014?
Yes, expected availability will be July, 2013.
7. Can I still play with the oneX I have?
