LOUISVILLE SLUGGER® AND mLAMB PARTNER ON HOME RUN CHALLENGE GAME SMARTPHONE APP
LOUISVILLE, KY - (June 29, 2011) Anyone who has ever played baseball or had a
desire to play has dreamed of slamming the ball out of the park with a Louisville
Slugger®. Soon smartphone users will be able to take their cuts and swing for the
fences no matter where they are. They’ll do it playing the Louisville Slugger Home Run
Challenge, a gaming app created through a partnership between mLAMB Productions
and Louisville Slugger, the Official Bat of Major League Baseball®.
"Entering the smartphone gaming app arena is an important step for Louisville
Slugger TPX," says the 127-year-old brand’s president, Bill Clark. "It will provide us a
way to connect with existing and new customers to market and sell our products through
the latest mobile gaming technologies."
The game will be a free download with in-app purchases available so the user can upgrade to gain access to more features. The upgrades can be used to purchase extra bats, play in TPX® Powerized® Park and other landmark locations, as well as to acquire the Louisville Slugger bats of superstars. In-app purchases will range from 99 cents to $1.99. Players will be able to challenge friends, and there will be options to allow players to post their results on social networking sites.
