LOUISVILLE SLUGGER® FIELD’S BIG SIGNS GET A MAKEOVER
Signs Serving as Our City’s Front Door are Updated for the First Time in 13 Years!
Out with the old, and in with the new! Louisville Slugger’s logo got a makeover earlier this year, and now it’s Louisville Slugger Field’s turn. The ballpark’s exterior signs that face I-64 and I-65 are being updated with the new Slugger logo, and the crew is putting the finishing touches on them Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. The signs are huge, with the back of the video board sign sized at 40’ x 22’6” and the sign on the back of the bleachers sized at 110’ x 20’. These signs cannot be missed!
WHAT: Crews complete installation of updated exterior signs featuring new Louisville Slugger logo.
WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 4, 11:00 a.m.
WHERE: Louisville Slugger Field, at the large signs on Witherspoon Street and the ballpark’s northeast parking lot off Witherspoon.
WHY: - Louisville Slugger made the first change to its iconic logo in nearly 35 years on Opening Day of MLB®’s 2013 season, and now it’s time to update the exterior signs at Louisville Slugger Field.
- Louisville Slugger Field is an iconic Louisville landmark that hundreds-of-thousands of people see every day. With its location at the convergence of I-65 and I-64, the signs practically serve as a "Welcome to Louisville." They are also a reminder that our city is home to baseball’s most iconic brand, one that has left its mark on the great history of the game while serving as an ambassador for its hometown – Louisville, Kentucky!
WHO: Representatives from Louisville Slugger and the Louisville Bats Baseball Club will be present to answer media questions.
